Sunday afternoon is always a somber time to reflect on how quickly I wasted away my weekend and what awaits me in the upcoming week. Needless to say, this is not the happiest of times. However, I'm working towards approaching it with a sunny attitude, despite how bitter I am about the blizzard that never was. Monday brings a tad bit of oral surgery to kick the day off followed by the usual in class, some refereeing, FU basketball against Elon and finally studying for an accounting midterm which I am frighteningly optimistic about. The week picks up after that featuring not one, but two, Shamenomics contests which promise to be battles on the hardcourt and will hopefully keep our playoff hopes alive. I may be mistaken, but I believe midterm occurs sometime this week which remind me how swift and deadly our friend winter term can be. I am of the opinion that the quicker it ends, the better. Then it will be time for a random spring break of discovering fun along the road, at home or here at 'ol FU, only time will tell where that takes us. Spring term is shaping up to be a pretty good closer to this year with classes working out fairly well thus far, and the promise of fairer weather is especially bright on days like today. Fortunately, spring term will not be the end of my academic year this time around for a mere 6 days after wrapping up my exams I'll be jetting out of Boston with 16 other Furman students to spend a month in Ireland. I am exceptionally pumped about this experience mostly because I do not know what will become of it or what course it will take. It will be one of those things that evolves as we go that I enjoy so much in my life.
