Answer the Call

Winter term is something Furman students talk about like it should be a miserable experience and reason to perform poorly or an excuse to have to "let off steam". A week of 60 degree days full of Paladin and intramural hoops combined with taking only one course has blown this perception away for me. This has been a relaxed and overall enjoyable first week of the term, although it feels as if it has been longer. This is probably a good thing since we registered for our cap and gown orders this afternoon. Jimmy's XBox Live was connected this afternoon, which will increase my worthlessness exponentially. The one course that I am burdened with is Gender Economics which is my second straight term of having a long class period with Dr. Horney. I like the woman and find her to be very intelligent, but many times her attention to detail and desire to inform about everything leads her down the short road to boredom. Our intramural squad is in its second year but have ditched the title of "Shamenomics" and renamed ourselves the "Salty Mouthfuls". I feel this move has made us much more feared in IM rec basketball league circles. We won an easy victory over the SAE Blue Balls team last night and now face 4 games on the road to the playoffs. Without jinxing our team, the playoffs are our definite goal for this season.

uhh, whatever.

Anyways, is Dr. Horney a pseudonym, or is that her real name? Cause if so, then that's a horrible name. Or a great name. Ok, it's a great name.
